Hi Cory,

We mostly communicate through e-mail and this mailing list. We are
both based out of San Francisco, CA, so we have met on occassion (I
think 3-4 times in 2+ years?).

The short-term issue that I feel is most important right now is to have
a sanity testsuite. My plan was to develop a set of scripts that would
cover a large base of the functionality of the FreeIPMI tools. The
scripts would do sanity checks on the output and such. A.B., could you
describe what you were thinking of for the FreeIPMI testsuite. My ideas
may be different than what you were planning.

Long term IPMI 2.0 and SOL is certainly most important. I have already
begun IPMI 2.0 development in the CVS branch "al_ipmi_2_0_branch". I am
perhaps half-done completing the base code in libfreeipmi so that ipmi
2.0 work can be done in all of the tools. Admittedly this development
is a bottle-neck. After it is complete though, IPMI 2.0 work can be
done in parallel in the various FreeIPMI tools, which we be very welcome
to have you help with :-)

Al
