Hi Al,
SMIC was used by HP before IPMI became a standard, perhaps till
IPMI-1.0. I have not seen a single system yet with SMIC controller.
Lets go ahead and drop it. When we find a board, we can get it back
in. We always have code in source repo.

Is there any motherboard that actually supports this interface?

I know the driver that you guys developed has never been tested b/c you
guys don't have a motherboard to try it on.  So this code has been sitting
in the repo for a long time completely untouched and does not resemble the
API for any of our other drivers.

Until the need arises I would like to drop it.  Any thoughts?
