My first post here.
There are no samples in the FreeIPMI package (I'm looking at the 1.6.1
version) - and I'm interested in the libipmimonitoring library in
particular. It looks like the ipmi-sensors program (from this package)
doesn't depend on this library at all.
Where can I find any samples,
package also needs to be installed.

I got a problem building the FreeIPMI Ver 1.6.1 on a box with GCC 7.3.0.
The 'make' tool enters the 'man' subdirectory and calls the GCC
preprocessor, and it looks like it's unable to process input files.
Can anybody please take a look and invent some way to overcome that?

I use the FreeIPMI C API to get sensor readings into my application. I can
see record ids and sensor names, etc. - the same info as in the
"ipmi-sensors" output. My applications needs to know *meaning* of these
sensors - is it related to their record ids? For example, in this output:
