Just to complete...
Cisco knows a Packet Of Disconnect which is also abbreviated with POD.

As far as I remember it was one of the accounting attributes Cisco NAS'
wanted to have sent back...

to be able to use FreeRadius because
honestly, it's a better server. I know disconnecting the user is not the
RADIUS server's job; that job lies with the NAS. However, I know it is
possible over SNMP and I read occasional mentions of a Ping of Death
that would disconnect a user as well.
Does anybody know

Hello -
I've perused the archives for awhile, so I know this is decently dealt

Does anybody know how VOPRadius does this? Or does anybody know how this
Ping of Death works and if FreeRadius can do this?
First, thank you for responding.
No, if you don't have administrative access on the NAS, then there is
no way to disconnect a user.
I've got to believe it is at least possible, given that VOPRadius can do
this somehow. Perhaps I need to be inspecting closer how it does this
and work on

Turns out my boss was wrong. He thought he could, but when we set up an
experiment, we couldn't. Thanks for your time; sorry to waste it.

Ok here a funny request, which I already say is not possible.
But, if I know the nas ip address and port number my user is one can I sent
a command to the nas to disconnect the user?
I don't have direct access to the nas, as I am a virtual ISP
If so what would this command be, I would like to
Well you can write a small script which logs in to your NAS and sends the
command to disconnect your user. Or there was this program called radkill
you should check from google perhaps.
Also maybe there are better ways to do this, maybe somebody in the list
can suggest a better way.

Else it would be an easy fix
I will do a search for radkill
Thanks
