Hi,

I just recently started to use FreeRDP running on FreeBSD. My use case
involves using local serial port for communication with devices like
scales and USB for bar code reader and similar. I did not test the
later yet, but serial port redirection did not work for me.

I found https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/6512 and permissions
mentioned there does not look like a problem, as I can access my serial
port from the same shell (under the same user/group) as used for
testing FreeRDP. I am going to search more, but I'd like to ask whether
this feature is really used, so someone has working setup, or it does
need some work.

My setup: OS is FreeBSD 14.0, FreeRDP is 2.11.2 built using FreeBSD's
port framework resulting as 2.11.2_2 package. If recommended, I can try
to build some development version. Also more details can be provided on
request, at the moment I have no idea what is important for this case.

Any hints/questions for me? It is my first post here, being subscribed
just now :)

Regards,
Milan
