Thanks for your replies. I installed these updates on winxp: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20609 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4465 and I can successfully run apps via remoteapp on windows 7 client (just to be clear: from windows xp server).
