can you send us the full command line and screen output? And are you
running bash? What operating system?

export FREESURFER_HOME=/Applications/freesurfer
source $FREESURFER_HOME/SetUpFreeSurfer.sh

and I have this error

syntax error near unexpected token 'newline'
