Greetings all,
I've just stumbled upon your project and it may solve an issue we are having.
I've just spent about 3 weeks getting to know asterisk just to discover I don't
think it can do what I need.
We have a project where we have incoming calls on a SIP channel. We need to do

The dialplan was not designed to do ivr scripting. Try taking a look
at the spidermonkey (javascript) support. Some VERY simple ivr may be
able to be accomplished using the read app.

Can someone provide an example of how to collect DTMF in the dialplan? My
search through docs and google has not clarified the steps to accomplish
this task. I need to play a prompt and collect DTMF, with the ability to
cut-through the prompt to start collecting digits.

if you update to 8020 or newer you can use the acl param in the profile
this is an acl list of what ips are acceptable candidates
add this to acl.conf.xml
but then add in an allow entry for your network space
the old way is also still in tact which is a partial string
I would start by getting the server on a public ip, we actually filter
out the private ip's when we handle candidates from clients, so it
will probably NOT work at all that way.

Hi All

has anyone done it ?
Any advantages/disadvantages ?
Any special issues I should be aware of ?
Any good howto's ?
