Wouldn't be the first USB 2 device to have issues with a USB 3 host.
Lots of USB 2.0 devices seem to have issues, not sure whether it's
fixable in device firmware or not.

Yes I agree. Happy to accept a PR for this, or I'll work on it over the

Hi Danilo,
That might have been my mistake, I edited Walter's instructions for the
manual. Haven't tried the Windows method myself (it's an effort for me
to run Windows here).
Thanks - I was looking for a way to generate DFU files from .bin files.
Perhaps we can add that to the stm32 Makefile.
After reading Walter's manual entry and Danilo's information to add
the python program, I wonder if my method is deprecated,
and Walter's is the new way to do it.
I think if we add Danilo's items to the manual, it might be less confusing.

Hi,
I am not sure that I understand Walter's procedure as it is documented
in the sm1000_manual.md
This procedure will first dump the existing flash of the sm1000 to a
.dfu file. But it will not produce a new dfu file from the sm1000v2.bin
file.
If one flashes the dfu file created in the first

Where is it asking you about a .dfu file?
There is no .dfu file.
Just use the binary file.

Thank Steve,
Could you please add that as a Pull Request for the sm1000 manual?
https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/blob/master/stm32/doc/sm1000_manual.md
Walter's method is already in there, but it would be useful to have
your's as well.
