Hi all, I know there are fans of GNU radio on this list, for the sake of simplicity of writing DSP code which leaves room for those of us not as well versed in the trade to experiment with Codec2.
I wrote a short blog article on how to abuse the GNU radio blocks to soft decode 4FSK as if it was a QPSK signal (accepting some trade-offs). I know this topic is well covered in books and internet articles, including David's blog, but I could not find this approach described anywhere else on the internet and since it seems a little outrageous at first, I thought I might publish this for the benefit of curious amateur radio people who like to experiment with Codec2 and digital voice in every possible way. Hopefully this is not seen as very offtopic here :) Article can be found at http://qradiolink.org/4fsk-viterbi-soft-symbol-decoding.html Best regards, Adrian ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Freetel-codec2 mailing list Freetel-codec2@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freetel-codec2
