Basically, I don't care where development actually happens. However,
I want a branch in FreeType's git repository on Savannah to be
populated with the code that gets eventually merged. This allows me
to have a single git repository with FreeType code, and it also serves
documentary purposes w.r.t. GSoC participants.

I made this repository for understanding the codebase and testing purposes.

I don't have any problem in using savannah!

Dear Werner,

I guess some of them already have their accounts on github,
and some of them already have their forked repositories.
( I found https://github.com/parthw1/FreeType )

If they prefer to develop on savannah, it's good - if they
prefer to develop on github (or any other git repository
services), should we ask them to work on savannah?

Thank You! Thanks for taking time – I hope that you could learn
something while writing the proposal, and maybe next year you will
have more success.

We selected the following three projects.

   Armin Hasitzka (Austria)
 Improve Fuzzing for FreeType

   Parth Wazurkar (India)
Integrating VFlib's TeX format drivers into FreeType

   Nikhil Ramakrishnan (India)
 Redevelop FreeType's documentation using markdown

Welcome!

Armin, Parth, Nikhil, I ask you to do the following in case you
haven't done it already.

(1) Get an account on Savannah (https://savannah.nongnu.org/), also
registering an SSH key. Send me your account names, and I give
you write access to the FreeType git repositories so that you can
create branches for your code. Please commit to `master' only
after discussing the intended changes in advance.

(2) Subscribe to the `freetype-devel' mailing list.

All communication between the mentors and you should be primarily
done using the list so that other interested people can chime in,
 too.

We wish you success and a lot of fun in the coming months! May the
force be with you :-)
