On the bottom of the Text Frame Palette, in the bottom-right corner, there
are controls to set the vertical alignment. Centered vertical alignment is one
of these controls. The controls are to the right of the 'Overflow' button.
Hope this helps.

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know if there is a JavaScript rule (or another method) that
will allow you to set a specific indent value for each line within a
Paragraph.
Example: Indent Line One - 1/8 inchIndent Line Two - 1/4 inch
Indent Line Three - 1/2 inch ...
Any Suggestions
There is functionality to preview the shortest/longest value of a field in all
of the records (accessible through the Preview dialog). I do not believe there
is a way for the three items that you listed though.

I agree there is no simply way of doing this with returns,
paragraphs, multiple fields, and... However, I am sure if someone
wants to get really fancy they could write a JavaScript rule to do
this. And then, only run the rule when you want to see that specific
case. The reason we do not

you can also set this in your native file.
just be careful - InDesign is very tricky. it will not carry over varying
leading. so watch out for it not carrying over the vertical text
alignment.

i'm attempting to complete this rule but my inexperience is stopping me.
my end goal for this rule, is to return a certain phone number depending
on the address. for example, if the address is 123 Main Street, i want the
phone to be 123-123-1234 to coincide w/ that address.
this is what i have.
Just a suggestion, but because this sort of thing is so hardcoded
with the data being embedded in your program, why not just add another
field to your database, and be done with it? This solution just seems
so tied to the data, that it won't be all that reuseable, IMHO.

Nicola,
Had a chance to think about this for a while, and I came up with something you
can use. It's not simply one rule, but a rule that calls a function. In your
text box, simply make sure that you allow it to remove empty lines, and
everything should come out fine.
Here's the function that
