fvwm development model (Git from CVS)

2016-04-17 Thread Christoph Fritz
Howdy all,

My name's Christoph and I've just got back to looking at fvwm after a break
of some years.

When going to fvwm.org - I was surprised to see that things had changed.
The old CVS archives aren't there no more and everything appears to have
moved to git - like so many other projects these days.

I have a few patches I like to keep around (rounded corners) and was
looking to use them in the new git repo. But the instructions (
http://fvwm.org/documentation/developers/) look like a lot of work.

I have to fork a repo then create a branch and compile fvwm? What about
patches?

Has anyone used them to see if they're hard-work for a new person to use?

I wanted to ask in case it is me.

Christoph
