Thank you for this information.
It seems my case belong to the first one you describe as I surely don't have
more than 400 unique nodes on my network.
Anyway I had a crash recently and the license error messages where too present
for me not to worry.

A great thanks to both of you for this information.
I do have an external interface set and as far as I went using fw tab to check
counted hosts I realize much of them do not belong to my network.
After deletion of the two files, all is ok. I just need to appy the fix now and
all will be fine.

Hello Chandra,
you can take a tool named Upgrade_Export. With this Tool you get your
Database and you can import this File to your new Management. The Tool you
need for the Import ist Upgrade_Import. You can Download the tools from the
Checkpoint Site.

To restore the rulebase configuration you would need to run a utility of
upgrade_import_exe followed by the path of your firewall back-up files.
Hope it will work for you,
Good Luck !!

Have you tried adding the IP addressess for your internal
DNS servers to the DNS settings in your adapter IP settings?
You can tell the VPN interface to resolve using your internal
DNS servers. Works great for me. You can confirm using
nslookup and ping by name once your VPN is up.

The default port of the Web interface in SecurePlatform is HTTPS 443.
The default port can be changed in from the command line in Standard

1) Login to SecurePlatform in Standard mode, either locally or in SSH
session.
2) Type the command:
webui enable https_port_number

My first problem is that I don't have one IP for one website.
So xxx.domain.com refers to 10.10.10.10 and so does yyy.domain.com.

Look in the Applications directory for a directory called CheckPoint
VPN-1 Secure Client. There is a script there called SecureClient
uninstall.
If not, please let me know, and I'll e-mail it to you.

Uninstalling SecureClient for the MAC OS:
1) Double-click the uninstaller icon from the Check Point folder in

is there a way to assign a different host name to each interface of a Nokia?
let say I have 20 interfaces, is there a way to name each one with a
seperate host name?
lord help me.

Each interface in Nokia already has logical name assigned to it and I have
seen if you try to change them to your customized names, it will cause lot
of problems unless IPSO has done something lately to allow you to rename the
interfaces. You can do so in the voyager.
Other more experienced users
Use the hosts file.
Each interface will have an IP and associate that to the name.
You can also DNS each.
