I can not tell you solaris 8 but I can tell you my experience with solaris 9 and the latest cluster patch. After installing the latest cluster patches on my solaris 9 box, I can NOT install P-1 R55 on it. To fix the problem, I had to re-install solaris 9 and apply the cluster patch that I
