You can just get rid of the old files, I zip them and save them. There is no
special thing you have to do. Just be cautious not to delete or try to move
the fw.log file.

We have a Windows 2000 management server whose volume is getting filled up
with the log files. Does anyone know if these can simply be deleted or is
