Hi I had this very issue last week on an Smart-1 running SPLAT R75.20. I created a Service Request and during a webex session, the Check Point technician found out the some SmartReporter files were corrupted (he couldn't tell me why...) and he just replace those corrupted files the default files and the issue was solved. So the recommendation is, open a case and ask for a remote session ;) However, I copied/pasted the notes that the technician added to the case before closing it. After reviewing the procedure, I think when he said cp db_files.tgz from $RTDIR/conf to this directory was the action that solved the issue. I hope this helps. When did you run the reporter GUI for the last time without the error ? If it was a long time ago and you don't have recent backup, you should contact Checkpoint TAC to fix this. There are several entries in checkpoint secureknowledge but I never managed to recover a corrupted database thanks to secureknowledge.
