I haven't seen any activity for a while and was

Jack,
I suggest that it is less accurate to describe Qumran as \"located
too cumbersome for scriptorial work. They have plastered tops and
the plaster is still intact. Have these tops ever been examined either
microscopically or spectrophotometrically to look for clues (ink, plant
fibers) for their use? If not, why not?

connect the "camps" to Qumran where the actual processing and bottling may
have taken place. Since the bucks rolled in when the balsam was bottled,
Honi..perhaps a cultivator...could afford to buy his land from old

That's interesting Stephen. I have always wondered whether the Masada
holdouts were, in fact, Qumran people....the "sons of light" in the final
battle.

As far as Nasareans and Nasoreans, I see a general confusion among all of
the patristics on this issue which is well treated by Ray Pritz in "Nazarene
Jewish Christianity." (Magness Press, Hebrew University, 1988, 1992)

16 feet of plastered mud-clay table and benchwork that has stirred
controversy regarding their use. They were found in L30 and apparently

Assumedly for writing and/or calculation, but assumedly it was no
Triclinium
SURELY this has been done by now. It would be scientifically negligent
otherwise. Does anyone know?
