I think you mean ECC (error-correcting code).
It probably depends on which model G5 you have. Apparently the dual 2
GHz early G5 can take either kind. Other models may be different.

I have a Dual 867 Power PC G4 with 2 GB of RAM, using Tiger and three hard
drives. Now the machine won't print. Regardless of what printer I use the
process stops and will not resume. I have never had this problem before. Any
advice?
