The BW G3 doesn't support drives over 128 GB on its main drive bus, but
the UltraATA 66 bus used by the optical drives supports so-called Big
Drives - and it's twice as fast.
The HD bus is Ultra/33 (33 MB/s).
The Optical bus is DMA (16.67 MB/s).
Both buses can support large drives using the
