I was just given a dead G4 MDD. it would not show any signs of life. I put in a new lithium battery, waited 24 hours, and now, it lives. But, there is always a but, I put in an empty HD (without an OS) and managed to get the disk drive door open and the original install and restore CD in the

Check that the cd drive is good Also check the cable to connects the cd drive to the mother board I had a MDD that was for parts that had a bad cable that connects the cd drive to the mother board. Still using the MDD to this day, a $2.00 fix Try starting from firewire drive with good OS on it,

Remove all devices from the machine including RAM and all cables, battery and hard drive. wait 30 mins. hold down CUDA switch for 15 seconds. Mak sure to put hard drive in main forward bay, put back the RAM and battery. Boot with CD holding down t C key. If it gves a problem try docs Delete,

Hi All I have 2 Cube 500s with a ATI 128 card 32MB the problem I have is it will drive a 17 Studio ADC display but not a 20 Cinema ADC. I also have a Cube 500 with a GeForce2 MX 32MB card that does drive the Cinema ADC, What's the deal here? I thought the 32MB card was what I needed to drive

I had this issue and reported it to the group Many weeks ago - My bloat was up to 8 GB and killing my HD. I was directed to Click to Flash and other flash killers . Safari crashes once in a while and then the bloat goes away - as does closing and rebooting. So I have not found a real solution.

Here is a simple solution that worked for me when I first got my Power Mac G4 Graphite. Make sure that the jumper settings on the hard drive are not misplaced and set as a Slave drive. Make sure you have a good DVD drive. I had some problems with some older macs in which I had to completely
