If you're using the OEM 9600 CPU you can only run OS X up to 10.2.8, but if you have a G3 or G4 CPU upgrade you can install up to 10.4.11 without much hassle (if you have enough RAM, and the 9600 supports 1.5GB). You can also install Leopard 10.5.8 with a little hassle, which is right up

Whoa! Hold on a second! I am running happily with Leopard on my PM G4 Sawtooth, but you're thinking about putting leopard on a G3! That is the last thing I would do right now, but the first thing I would try if I am simply done with my G3 iMac. with some mods, would Leopard run on (let's say...)
