I should have mentioned this: I had that open in Dreamweaver, not Safari. I
tried re-placing the images on the page, and that didn't work. They show up
correctly everywhere else. And opening that page again in Dreamweaver, there
are no errors now. My guess is that it was just a temporary thing unrelated to
GPU, but it didn't go away with things that would seem to point to a file
error. (I've moved this topic to the Macbook list, by the way, so future
discussion should probably continue there, once that post shows up.)

I don't think that's an issue with the GPU, but the images themseleves. I'd
expect GPU issues to affect the entire screen; those errors are clear;y
connected to specific issues.Try clearing the Safari cache. or try a different
web browser.

Re: 20" ADC cinema display issue with G4 450mhz AGP

2011-08-26 Thread Wayne Stewart
The AGP G4 came out before ADC and the AGP slot doesn't supply the 25
volts required to power the ADC monitor.
Starting with the Gigabit Ethernet machine Apple replaced the 20 pin
power supply with a 22 pin power supply which supplied 25 volts. To
use your display you need a newer G4, an ADC to DVI adapter(which
supplies 25 volts) or you'll need to do some hacking.
