For me CS6 apps are harder to pick up. Have let up on studies at CS3 5
years ago. and gennerally being away from Adobe.
Lynda.com will teach you anything about Adobe and 1000 ( more than 1000
actually) PC and Mac apps for $25 bucks a month and is worth fifty times
that much just for the Adobe.

i swapped the battery with one from another mac and got it running again
but it took several tries of the power button.
i'm in the process of moving all my data and retiring the machine.

Sounds like a flakey power button.
Likely a mechanical issue rather than an electrical issue.
