It's a shame more web sites don't exercise more control over the ads. I know the ad networks offer all kinds of choices (and data formats).

Seems to me that with a little brains, they could actually make ads interesting. You know, something apropos but non-intrusive to the story. Show a Mac ad next to a story about Windows malware. Or an add for a cruise line, next to a story about an airplane crash. Perhaps an ad for the newest Freddie or Jason movie, next to a Disney review. ...
