Greetings, In your home account, Library/Mail move the file Envelope Index to the Desktop and then open your mail account. When Mail opens you will get a screen almost like it is the first time you have opened mail. Then there will be a period that the system is rebuilding all of the mail boxes. A Google search finds others complaining about similar problem mostly, it seems, with IMAP accounts. I found a solution by deleting and recreating the specific POP account. Bob's-your-uncle.
