I've been with OpenDNS for awhile and they have worked great plus I can filter as well.. I am a bit hesitant to give Google even more information on my browsing habits. Just my two cents. Greetings, Bruce take a look at http://code.google.com/p/namebench/ it is an Open- source DNS Benchmark Utility. It has a lot of features that help in finding the best DNS for your locality. In a tangentially related issue, when I made the DNS changes (and a few other security tweaks, like make the config web server use https, and not work over wifi) I managed to crash the Linksys web server. I use googles public dns. Its much much better. That's why I use Google's. They use prefetching and it's pretty accurate and generally faster. I would caution against using Level 3's DNS as there is a lot of talk about Level 3 restricting their DNS Servers so only people with Level 3 IP Addresses can use them.
