I do it on my Ubuntu m achine with sunbird, syncs my pc with two other 
windows machines using google calendar.

There was a similar post about syncing Address Book on 2 computers a while
back. Dan put forward this suggestion which could easily be modified for
iCal.

Do make sure it's a symlink not an alias and the directory would be
~/Library/Calendars.

Not sure about that never tried. You can use iSync if you have a .mac account. 
If you have email account that is iCal enabled that will work. Or you can try 
this:
