Initial Comment: With white GTK theme set everything is ok, but with black one it's not. I attached a screenshot illustrating the problem. It is basically like this - in MSN chats TEXT color is taken from GTK theme, while BACKGROUND color is always white. In AIM chats TEXT is always black, while BACKGROUND color is always taken from theme. I'm not sure if this is Gaim problem (it's probably not), which misrenders it or problem of these IMs, which send text like that. Neverthless, it's possible to fix that on Gaim side. (by comparing sent color and system one and inverting if neccessary) Other IMs could be affected too, thought I only tested Gadu besides these.
