Summary: Buddy Status Change Not Reported
Initial Comment:
I am using XP Pro, Gaim v.2.0b6.
Up until this release, when a member would sign off while you were chatting
with them, a system message or notification line would be inserted into the
buddy window stating the status change. Since the release of Beta6, this
notification no longer appears, and you only receive a notification when you
actually try to send a message to them (asking if you want to pounce them with
the message when they return back online).
It would be wonderful if the previous handling could be restored.
Thanks,
~Anthony

This has never been default functionality. You can enable the
notifications by using the "Buddy State Notification" plugin (which is
included with the default installation).
