Summary: Memory leak in gaim-2.0.0beta6

Initial Comment:
There seems to be a memory leak in gaim-2.0.0beta6 that does not effect
usability, but continues to eat up resources until the system starts paging.
Windows XP SP2 Fully Patched, Gaim Idles at ~30 MB ram until you start IM'ing
people, and then ive seen it go all the way up to 400+MB.
4msn accounts, 3aim, doesn't seem to matter which sorting method (there use to
be a leak with sort by log size) or which account has the Messaging window
open.

Reverted to gaim-2.0.0beta5 and this seemed to fix the problem, but AIM
accounts showed up as '(unknown) account type' until you reset them.

Any other info I can provide?

Thanks

Ben

Anything happened with this? I'm seeing 100 - 150MB Memory usage with Gaim
after about 10 - 20 minutes of using it. Just noticed it IS kind of high
for a messaging program considering Firefox uses 150MB regularly. Any
details I can provide to help?

I reinstalled gaim, and gtk from the exe package, and it seems to have
fixed the memory issue..
I now sit idle, or with messaging windows open, at about 30mb ram usage

Try disabling spellchecking (Preferences-Conversations-Highlight
misspelled words) and see if that makes a difference.

Are you using the same GTK+ version as beta6 (2.10.7) (Help-About) when
you revert to beta5?

Do you have your Tab Placement somewhere other than on top?
