Summary: Sort Online/Offline Buddies

Initial Comment:
This is just something I thought might be useful,
When the show offline buddies option is selected, adding
an option to sort the buddy list by online then offline.
This way when you look at each group of buddies, the
online buddies are listed first and then offline ones are
next.

well, i'm sure the option could easily be made, by definition,
optional, so that the people who are accustomed to the
current layout can keep it that way, and those who are not
do not have to bother with it (not implying that the current
layout is bothersome)

The default layout is *very good.* I can't fathom having a
group of 'Offline' buddies, I just can't imagine when I'd
ever want to see all the names of people who /aren't/
online. Having them intermingled is extremely useful, for
reorganizing your buddy list when people aren't online
(particularly if you want to move buddies into Contacts). I
generally remember the order of things, and so if, for
instance, I wanted to send an offline message to someone, or
set up a buddy pounce, I'd want to find their name where I
expect to find it, not in a sea of offline buddies.

I like the idea of the "Offline" buddy list, where all offline
buddies regardless of there actual location, are placed in one
single list called "offline" (which can be renamed)

I believe that the sort option of "by status" does this
already.  Look in Tools->preferences->Buddy List

You can sort by Status, which is pretty much the same thing.
