It's just that I don't see the point of adding a button just for the /buzz command. I suppose from a personal point of view, I would like to be able to hide the toolbars. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Gervase Lam (gervasel) Date: 2005-12-19 19:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1408756 I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering... Why not expand this idea and have a macro toolbar? You could have a general toolbar that would apply to all protocols and separate toolbars for other protocols. The type of toolbar I was thinking of is like that used in the gvim text editor. The toolbar would basically be set up and configured using plug-in like scripts. gvim menu scripts contains commands that could be described as "AddButton" or something like that. I don't know whether this should be just restricted to macro functionality or not. It could be argued if there is a toolbar for macros, why not go the whole way and have a toolbar for logging out, setting up accounts, file transfers, etc... That is basically a full featured toolbar that you would see in a modern gui word processor. At the moment I prefer the idea of just making the toolbar only for macros. Allowing the toolbar to do other things feels at the moment like opening a can of worms. Users would then have more justification in asking, "Can we have a toolbar button for X, Y and Z functions in gaim?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1385532&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
