In Gaim ver 2.0.0 beta 5 messages cannot be sent if the user is offline. I would like to be able to use this nifty feature of AIM in Gaim as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Olek (olek54321) Date: 2007-02-25 14:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1728667 Originator: NO Hmmm... if it's server-side, then the implementation could be trivial for Gaim. The only thing blocking this may be that Gaim *thinks* it can't send a message to an offline AIM user and therefore doesn't even try. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Frank Li (strategist333) Date: 2007-02-01 19:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1670731 Originator: YES I know for a fact that my screenname is offline-messaging enabled (because I'm able to receive them) but I cannot send offline messages in Gaim. I suppose the recent beta 6 solution (store as pounce) works, but it is still not as efficient as using the AOL offline feature. Is there some way for Gaim to develop support for using the AOL offline feature? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Michael Keating (michael9825) Date: 2007-01-29 20:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1198027 Originator: NO Hmm People are saying "offline" messenging is set on server side per screenname. It is not the client. They would just need to implement it like privacy, chats, etc... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1617481&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
