Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: core Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: Rejected Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: George (linux_user98765) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: wierd javascript Gaim email customization request Initial Comment: It would be useful to be able to either prepend, modify, or append the urls when mail is "Open"ed from within Gaim. Specifically, I'd like to be able to add the following javascript: javascript:document.location="<url>";window.moveTo (0,0);window.resizeTo(screen.width,screen.height); or just include an option to maximize the mail window. This request is intended for Win Gaim, but users of linux Gaim may desire it as well... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-17 15:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Many browsers will parse a javascript string typed into the address bar. For example, if in the above (refer to summary) example, you replace <url> with, say http://linuxmail.org then the window will "maximize" with the aforementioned URL. The request is not to build a javascript parser into Gaim, but rather to change what is passed to the browser. This can be accomplished two ways: - rebuild from modified source - make a pereferences option - ??? Again, this is requested for win Gaim, but linux users might appreciate the functionality as well... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2002-12-23 10:36 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 you can't use java script in gaim. period. ever. we don't have anything but a minimal html parser, nothing the size of which would be needed to parse javascript. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=653911&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
