Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Thomas (zeromusmog) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Initiate Direct Connect? Initial Comment: There is no button or option or menu item ANYWHERE to initiate a direct connection; if I try to send an image I get a "direct connect first" error. Perhaps pressing the image button shouldn't open the file dialog unless there is a connection, and if there isn't it opens a connection, like real AIM, but something is broken? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2007-04-20 10:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 Originator: NO As we are closing this tracker, please submit any feature request that is still valid to http://developer.pidgin.im. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jonathan (anomalyconcept) Date: 2004-11-10 01:25 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1156326 Right-clicking on a buddy when (s)he is invisible does not work because (s)he will not appear on the buddy list. I have not found a work-around for this, and having a button for this in the main IM window would be the best solution IMO. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Thomas (zeromusmog) Date: 2004-06-14 20:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=86002 Having an option in the IM window itself, or having it operate in the same manner as the standard AIM client would be MUCH more intuitive. I have been using AOL's instant message service since before they had buddy lists, and I use plenty of open source software and have programmed some small software projects of my own; I'm not trying to brag I'm just saying that I am by no means an idiot user. Before posting this, I even did a couple Google searches and looked through the documentation to see if I could find an answer to this. Long story short: this could be made MUCH more intuitive. :) Sorry if I came off as a jerk here, I really enjoy gAIM. Thanks for all the hard work you've put into it. I'm just trying to help make it better. I'd especially like to give kudos on the MSN fixes in this latest release! Keep up the good work! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-06-14 19:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 right click on a buddy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=972835&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
