Category: None Group: gtk bug #170948 (no disk error) >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: SignOfZeta (signofzeta) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Summary: \"gaim.exe - No Disk\" error Initial Comment: In response to bug 1106885: Pop-up menus disappear behind buddy list I am using Windows XP Professional and Gaim 1.1.2. After right-clicking anything on a docked buddy list, the list of options that pops up often "falls" behind the buddy list and cannot be seen. I do not encounter this problem when the buddy list is not docked. Having a window open and maximized from a different program seems to prevent this from happening. This only started occuring after upgrading to Gaim 1.1.2. You guys offered the fix: > Date: 2005-01-22 17:33 > Sender: datallahSourceForge.net Subscriber > Logged In: YES > user_id=325843 > > This has been fixed in CVS. > You can test the fix by replacing the winprefs.dll in your > gaim\plugins directory with this one: > http://www.butfer.com/gaim-patches/winprefs.dll This file fixed the bug, but it caused another one. This isn't much of a bug, just an annoyance. When Gaim is launched, Windows spits back a No Disk error (see image) reading "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk4\DR9." Clicking Continue or Cancel launches Gaim without a hitch, and Try Again effectively does nothing. Gaim 1.1.2, GTK+ 2.4.13, Windows XP SP2 Here are my hard drives: - Onboard IDE - Primary master: DVD-ROM/CD-RW - Secondary master: CD-RW - Onboard IDE RAID controller - Primary master: Western Digital Caviar (120 GB) - Big NTFS partition (C:) - FAT32 partition for Linux/Windows sharing (D:) - Secondary master: Seagate Barracuda (60 GB) - Saving this one for Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-02-06 18:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 This is unrelated to the fix for 1106885. This is a GTK bug, it is triggered by external storage devices, e.g. all-in-one memory readers, zip drives, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=680472&aid=1117569&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
