>Summary: Win-Gaim induces Windows \"No Disk\" error.

Initial Comment:
I have a computer with two installations of MS Windows
on it. (One partition with WinXP Home Edition, and one
with XP Professional.) Home Edition was installed
first and thus gets the "C:" Drive letter. When XP Pro
was installed, it's root directory is labeled "D:". I
have a feeling this is the source of this error, but
the debug log doesn't really hint to this explicitly,
nor do I have the expertise to confirm this by another
means.

Anyway, when booted with XP Professional, when Win-Gaim
starts, the user gets "Windows - No Disk: There is no
disk in the drive. Please insert a disk in drive ."
Note the space after "drive" and before the period. I
suppose the error message must be designed to display
the pertinent drive letter, but no letter was passed to
the error display function. (i.e. - It probably looks
like "...please insert a disk in drive %1.") The error
dialog has three buttons, "Cancel." "Try Again," and
"Continue." "Try Again" just yields the error again,
but both "Cancel," and "Continue" close the error
dialog and allow the Win-Gaim Login dialog to display
and Win-Gaim's operation from there on is normal. You
can see a screen shot of the error dialog at
http://locker.uky.edu/~jkiff2/windows_-_no_disk.png

I've attached the debug log produced by "gaim.exe -d".
Note that I used find-and-replace to subsitute
personally identifiable information (screen names,
windows user names, etc) in the log with generics as I
realize this is a public forum. If I've over-done it
and the log is less useful, please request an unaltered
copy of the log by emailing me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks. ^_^

This is a GTK+ bug. It has been fixed upstream, but a new
version of atk (one of the components of GTK+) has not been
released yet (when that happens, this bug will go away).

This is triggered by having (some sorts of) removable media
(e.g. memory card reader) mapped to your i: drive, you can
avoid it by not using the i: mapping.
