Category: None Group: gtk #313546 (icm32 Div By 0) >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Jake Hoban (jake_hoban) Assigned to: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Summary: gaim for Windows crashes when entering chat room in jabber Initial Comment: To reproduce: start gaim on Windows (XP), log into a jabber server, search the list of available chat rooms, select one of them, and hit "join". Gaim crashes. Error occured on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 17:08:08. C:\Program Files\Gaim\gaim.exe caused a Float Divide By Zero at location 67113b04 in module C:\WINDOWS\System32\icm32.dll. Sometimes the same thing happens without trying to join a chat room, just if you leave gaim logged into jabber for a while without doing anything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nathan Walp (faceprint) Date: 2005-01-02 21:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=17471 I have no idea what is going on with your stack trace. I'm re-assigining this to Herman, in case he knows what the icm32.dll problem is. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jake Hoban (jake_hoban) Date: 2004-07-26 03:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=717417 Sorry, my last comment was inaccurate - it was an MSN account that I used to have, not an AIM account. Never had one of those, so your guess about what that's doing in the stack trace is as good as mine! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jake Hoban (jake_hoban) Date: 2004-07-26 03:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=717417 You're right about the stack trace - but my description of the steps to reproduce is accurate. I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling gaim-debug and repeating the above steps. I got a crash at the same point, with this stack trace: ------------------- Error occured on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 08:41:58. C:\Program Files\Gaim\gaim.exe caused a Float Divide By Zero at location 67113b04 in module C:\WINDOWS\System32 \icm32.dll. The very first time I installed, I did also set up an AIM account - but I then got rid of that to eliminate it as a source of the error. I can't find any trace of it in the registry. Let me know if I should try anything else. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luke Schierer (lschiere) Date: 2004-07-24 10:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=28833 interesting. your stack trace is showing this in the aim code, not the jabber code. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=680472&aid=995361&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
