It is posted in the Plugins Tracker: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1113304&group_id=235&atid=390395 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2005-01-30 21:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 This is a GTK Bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dwayner79 (dwayner79) Date: 2005-01-17 17:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1065063 Just mentioning that I have the same issue. With my left monitor blow my right monitor, the new conversation window is above the window area and unaccessable. I see this is assigned, so I am looking forward to a resolution. Thanks for a great product. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John M (mazzgolf) Date: 2004-12-16 11:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1134120 I have the same issue but my dual-monitors are not configured at different heights. My #1 monitor is the laptop monitor and the #2 monitor sits to the left. That means my #2 monitor on the left has the (0,0) position for my desktop. And that's where my IM windows appear. I would like the IM windows to appear in the center of #1. It would be nice if GAIM would remember the last position of the last IM window that I closed (typically, all my IMs will be in relatively the same position). This is the same behavior as MS Internet Explorer. I am using GAIM 1.1.0 on WindowsXP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: J.T. Shyman (jshyman) Date: 2004-11-08 13:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1155143 I am having the same problem but have figured out the cause. It appears that new IM windows will appear in the top- leftmost corner of your display. If you have two monitors, this should be at (0,0). However, if you set to two monitors to not be parallel left-to-right (i.e. the right monitor is configured to be higher than the left monitor) new IM windows use the lowest X and Y values from BOTH monitors. For example, say my left screen is at (0,0) and the right screen is at (1024,-168). This was done because the left screen is a laptop and the right screen is a monitor that sits higher. New IM windows in the configuration appear at (0,-168) which is off the top of the left screen. Suggestions: 1. Allow window positions for new IM windows to be set/saved or 2. force new windows to (0,0) instead of self-discovering the top-left corner. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=680472&aid=1060531&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
