ALthough I don't know a lot of things, it looks like there is a problem with the theme used (which inherits the QT look and feel). Though I don't think that gaim should crash, since it didn't used to, in previous versions. (Version used: 1.1.2 from debian unstable) In order to reproduce the bug, I tried to send a file through MSN. So probably it's a theme bug. But still, this is the only GTK application I use which crashes this way. And only in the file transfer dialog and in the newer versions of gaim.
