Dear Alyssa and Maren,

Thank you for the GainsNet. It is is great opportunity for the Central Asian
women to follow the women's activity worldwide. I am founder -director of
NGO titled the Center for Women-Leaders in Uzbekistan. It was founded in
1996 & aiming at improving women's legal and socio-economic status in my
newly independent country.

I would like to invite women's groups from different countries to cooperate
with us. Also, request granmaking organizations to support our activity
during difficult period of transition im our countries.

Also, I would like to offer today newly created web-site "Challenges of
women in changing Uzbekistan" for your comments. This web-site will try to
explain the situation in my country. The web-site address:
http://women.freenet.uz

I shall wellcome your comments.
Sincerely,
Mahbuba Ergasheva
