Hi!

The osx_newbuildsys branch has been there for way too long. It's time
to finally merge this into our default branch. Asterix already reviewed
the diff and seems to have no major objections anymore.

I still have the same objections: using a build system that we cannot
find in distributions, that is used by 3 projects, which has no
documentation, and that is maintained by one person. I don't know
anything about it, nor how to do things it doesn't do for the moment:
installing .py files (it only installs .pyc)

However, the branch uses a different build system because it was quite
troublesome to get autoconf working the right way (it would always use
CFLAGS which just can't be combined).

Is compilation really needed in osx branch? even with the changes that
are beeing made in GDK to not always use X windows? Gajim is not usable
in OSX anyway (wrong shortcut, many features missing) and is not
developed anymore.

Therefore, I'd like to have a discussion about the branch: If any
developer has any major objections about merging it etc. The buildsys
itself is pretty easy to use. The only difference you'll notice is that
in the Makefile, there's a variable SRCS which lists all the sources to
be installed (this way, we can have sources that are not installed,
like tests).

Asterix proposed to have a meeting in the MUC about this. He said it
would be nice if the following persons could attend:

asterix, vardo, mattj, johnny. elghinn and me

I'd propose next Thursday at 22:00 UTC - is that fine with everybody?

Yep I'd like a discussion too and this time is ok for me.

I forgot to mention that of course everybdy can join the discussion to
make a decision!
