If it is common to all window environments, then it just does not occur under
KDE or Gnome, as I never saw that in the years of using Gajim.
Only under Windows it occurs on a regular basis that the entire menu but the
1st item is below the lower edge of the menu and the rest of the menu is blank.

Second, it's a GTK "feature" ... see [0]
