Hi gang. A couple of days ago I reported that I had paid the new subscription for the list and domain services with EMWD. I submitted a Paypal Payment and all seemed to have gone through just fine. I however, never did receive a receipt like I usually do and that concerned me. Earlier while checking mail, I still did not have a Pay Pal receipt.
This of course prompted a visit to the Pay Pal web site to see if the payment was applied and everything had gone through. Must to my dismay, the payment was denied and Pay Pal neglected to inform me via email like they should have. I've since contacted EMWD to let them know the problem. They since have responded saying that if payment is not made today, the account will be terminated. Today is the renewal date so if it is not renewed, per their terms, the account is seen as closed. All files, web pages, mailman list information, etc will be wiped out later tonight at 11:59 PM if the payment is not there. The problem to all this mess is that I looked at my bank account and the funds were taken out from Pay Pal. This means, that as far as my bank is concerned, it's paid. Pay Pal does not see this and hense, EMWD does not either. I'll of course begin an invistagation between the bank and Pay Pal, but I have a feeling that since today is Sunday, nothing will be done considerring it is a non-business day. I'm hoping to have some type of solution later. Even if it means paying EMWD with one of my credit cards, then later on getting a refund from Pay Pal or something.
