Hi Scott, Generally, for an all purpose joystick/game pad I would pick the Logitec Rumble Pad. They are typically inexpensive, have lots of buttons, and as I said work well with allot of games.As for something that looks like Atari joysticks I haven't seen anything like those in years. Now days

Hi. I've had great luck with the Microsoft sidewinder which is an older one, but it is supported still. It's a 9 button stick and works great for many games. Another good one is the Logitech flight sim joy stick which is good for playing flying games. I do pretty good at playing games like Troo
