HI Simon,

Sorry for the delay in answering your question re this game.  I had a major 
email problem over the weekend, so cannot use the original thread.  My 
friend says that she is in the hut and she has put quite a lot in the 
itinerary, but she can get no further.  What ever she tries, it says she 
can't do that.

[Audyssey] sound rts

I like sound rts. It's a really cool game. 
I can't wait until b9 comes out. 
I like the custom maps feature that's going to come out. I can't wait to try 
that out.
I also like the idea of computer players being able to be invited to games.

Hi,
It is a possibility, and I came up with this idea as well, but I haven't 
played enough to proove it. Sometimes it is hard to tell when something is 
either under you or just-past you. I'll play a little more tonight or so to 
check it.
Oh by the way, is it true that the jump action can only happen when all 
landingsounds are stopped? I noticed this when jumping on a crackling 
ledge. Then the next jump waits until that crackling sound is done playing. 
I wouldn't call this a bug, I was just curious.

In each time I died in the trailer I landed on a monster which killed me
instantly. Are you certain this is not what is happening to you also?
Allot of players get confused when they land on a monster, and are not
clear what happened to them, but that is the result of landing on
something you are not suppose to land on. Weather it is a snake, skull,
spider, drop off, spike, fire pit, etc the result is the same.
Basically, lights out.

That is correct. The jump function checks to see if the landing sound 
has stopped playing before allowing the player to jump again.

happening, but haven't been able to reproduce it personally.

[Audyssey] Montezuma's Revenge beta 3 released!

Hello gamers,
USA Games Interactive would like to announce the immediate availability 
of Montezuma's Revenge Beta 3. Here is a list of changes since beta 2.

Changes

Added name and version announcement to MainForm_Load.
Cleaned up speech strings.
Removed monsters from map.
Fixed bug in voice menu that prevented the user from seeing all Sapi 5 
voices.
Changed jump key to space.
Changed run key to control.
Changed temple ambience.
Created new start level sound.
Created new dirt step effects.
Created new level intro sound.
Converted background music and background ambience flags options to 
integer variables.
Fixed bug with saving and restoring ambience and music settings in user 
registry.
Added new player torch sound effects.
Rewrote UpdateTorches() to use the GameLoop timer.
Replaced sandy flor with dirt and gravel floor.
Recompiled level 1, level 2, and bonus level 1.

Special notes

First, completely uninstall beta 2 prier to installing beta 3. In 
addition The USA Games Montezuma's Revenge old registry keys will 
manually have to be deleted in order for beta 3 to properly register 
options. Else you will recieve a runtime error on startup. This should 
only have to be once since beta 2 and beta 3 use slightly different 
keys, and they are incompatible with each other.
To remove the bad registry keys left by beta 2 you must do the 
following. Go to run, type regedit, and press enter. If using Vista UAC 
will prompt you to elivate to administrator, and you will have to press 
enter on the continue button to continue. Now, once in the Windows 
registry you will be presented with a tree view. Arrow to 
HKEY_Current_User, and press right arrow. Down arrow to Software, and 
press right arrow. Down arrow to USA Games, and press right arrow. Down 
arrow to Montezumas Revenge. Press the context menu key situated on most 
keyboards between the right Win key and the control key. Down arro to 
delete, and press enter. Answer yes to delete all Montezuma's Revenge 
registry keys. Now, exit the registry.
Once that is done install beta 3, and it should now register properly on 
your system.

I have not installed beta 2.  I have just uninstalled beta 1.  I am 
downloading the required files, and will then install them in sequence. 
Should I go through the procedure of uninstalling the key as you describe?, 
or does this only apply to those who have used the second beta.  Thanks.

It only effects users using beta 2. Beta 1 and earlier versions didn't 
place keys in the registry and serialized options to a *.cfg file.
Just make sure your USA Games\Montezuma's Revenge directory is cleanly 
uninstalled before putting Beta 3 on. The beta 1 patch sometimes leaves 
files in there that don't get removed by uninstall for some reason, and 
they could effect Beta 3's operation.

Hello Jim.  Started a season.  My team the Chicago bears lost to texas 20 to 6. 
 We got more yardage and pass completions then they did though.  Just hope it

[Audyssey] old games

Hi all.
For those looking for old things I found this on the soundrts site.

this has a load of things, not everything.
the main site is in german but the load of files and things are all 
accessible on this directory tree.
warning though, if you find a file with an mp3 extention in any 
directory its all german.
all the pbgames are here, as well as other things I never heard of.
oh you can also get supershot setup program here to.

I have just found sound voyager trailers, not sure if these are 
german but still it may be interesting.

[Audyssey] Monti 3 is good!

Hi tom. 

I've just done all the installing of Monti 3,  in fact I was amazed how 
quickly this one was out, sinse I've bearly had chance to try version 2. 
Very nice, I deffinately like the new atmospheric sfx, -- though imho the 
first level is a litle too scary just to be the game's beginning what 
happens on later levels of the temple? lol! 

I'm glad that you stuck ctrl space that way round,  space as jump, sinse 
Ctrl space is the default key combo for opening the control panel in Hal, - 
but holding down space and pressing Ctrl doesn't seem to have the same effect, 
 the same thing happens in the fishing level of Hunter.

I'm now wondering, When will the game be available to buy? as Beta 3 features a 
play demo option, I'm guessing that it will be comparatively soon,  
though I know bugs and such can crop up at the last minute, and putting exact 
times on these things is never easy. o, are you stil going with the $25 price? 

Looking forward to getting into more of the temple,
