[Audyssey] Question about Entombed game
Hi, I recently started playing Entombed. First off, I love it. I like the fact that you can shoose what equipment you wear, what spells to cast, etc. My question is this. Is there a place online or in the game folder, where I can learn more about how the game is played? And second, how do I use skill points? I have aquired 2, but when i try and use them to advance my skills from level 1 to 2, they don't seem to stick, so to speak. Hi Kieth. there is the entombed wiki which has a little nformation including a key list. To use skillpoints for instance you need to use the plus and minus keys (dash and equals), on the number row of your keyboard near backspace. use plus to add and minus to take away, then hit save when your done. [Audyssey] Dodge city desperados again
Hi all, I did evrything but spoiler space I can't seam to find the third brother. I took the bullets, I kill the first two, I had my meal, but I don't seam to find the way to locate him. I suspect he is in the jail, but there is no way for me to open it. Maybe the fat guy is my man? But if I shoot him, I get arrested. May be I have to wait for the night in the barber shop? The night has fallen and my mission was ended, but in the mean time I was outside the town looking for the thug... What would you suggest? Best! That's one of the things that makes this version harder then the last, trying to find the last brother is hard. The Story We have discovered that there really is a prone guiding the zombies. Of course, there may be more than one, but scouts have proven the existance of at least that one. While doing a reconasance flight over an unusual large horde of zombies, scouts detected the evil genius tap-tap-tapping away at his keyboard. Scouts noticed that he seemed oblivious to the zombies, and they were also uninterested in eating him. Scouts also found a power supply that, we believe, allows the prone to control the zombies directly. Your mission: to enter enemy territory and remove the power supply. We must caution you that you will probably be killed in the attempt, since many of the zombies are still gathered there. Good luck! [Audyssey] I'm probably an idiot, but the same Entombed question
Hi, Dark was good enough to tell me how to use skill points to up my skills in the game Entombed. He also gave me a lead on looking for entombed on wyki, but when I searched for entombed on that site, all I got was a lot of crap about some swedish death metal band. I know you can hit the shift key to pretty much access everything, the E key allows you to equip items, the I key lists your inventory. The up arrow moves you north, and the rest of the cardinal arrows move you in those directions. Is there any way to lay a waypoint to remember where a stairwell is. It's not like we can just draw a map when playing. Also, sometimes I save another person in the game, and then I have control of them when we get into a fight. Is there any way to equip them outside of a battle? And when moving around, lets say I have been heading East, if I hit the up arrow, does that make me turn in that direction, or do I automatically take a step north? It would be nice if the creator of the game included a readme file when the game installs. One more thing, as if there isn't enough to follow already. I plan on getting a laptop with windows 7 on it. I currently use windows xp. I have acquired a goblin card, which apprently allows me to create a goblin character. Is there any way I can port that option over to my Windows 7 machine, or do I have to start all over. Would kind of suck if i lost all the new jobs and races that were available to me. Hi Kieth. Firstly, I didn't mean wikipedia, I mean the entombed online manual that is written in wiki format. You can find it at http://www.blind-games.com/wiki/doku.php?id=entombed-main It's by no means complete, but does have a general key list. As regards other matters in the game, the tab key will let you switch betwene different members of your party when equipping or using skillpoints, and will also switch betwene different views in the main inventory. As to the map, it's simpler than you might think. just hit the slash key to get directions to the nearest unexplored space, the period key to get directions to the up staircase, and once you have found it, the comma to get directions to the down staircase, - though note it's probably worth checking the hole floor out for experience before going down. Other important keys are c, which when used in inventory or indeed the shop brings up a compare menue to compare the item to what your party has equipped of that item type, x to examine, and the number keys 1-8 which targit different areas of the body in battle. hth. Hi all, This evening I just rejected 10 posts because they were way over the message length. As many of you may be aware we've set up the list to reject messages over a 10 KB size limit in order to cut down on bandwidth for those users over seas who have to pay for the amount of e-mail bandwidth they use as well as to cut down on the number of multiple posts that contain hundreds of replies in a single message taking longer for those on older dial-up connections to download etc. So when replying to a post please remember to trim your messages before sending. This can be accomplished in one of two ways. First, You can write your message inline responding to the major points of a message and deleting everything else but the prior posters message and your inline comments. Below is an example message. Happy Gaming John As you can see here the John person writes his response inline, in Jo's prior post, and deletes everything but the points he wants to respond to. This is generally how its done on most mailing lists, but not the only way to cut down on message length. The second way is to write your reply at the top of the message you are responding to, but delete everything after the prior person's post. That way there is only the person's original post and your reply. The message before the one Joe wrote should be removed from the message like this. Hi Joe, I agree with you. If Joe had been responding to someone else or had simply asked that question in an existing thread John removed all the extraneous replies from the message so that the reader gets the reply and specific question or questions Joe is asking. Now, that I've explained this I hope everyone would please remember to trim. Sometimes it only takes a few extra seconds of your time to do this, and its better for everyone all around. Its certainly better to spend that few seconds trimming only to discover you get a message back from Mailman announcing your post or posts were sent to the trash because you went over the message limit. Hi Caitlyn, Well, in terms of recommending games what exactly are you interested in. These days there are several kinds of accessible games from your Space Invader style arcade games like Aliens in the Outback, Troopenum, and Judgment Day to highly complex first-person games like Shades of Doom and Sarah and the Castle of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There are hundreds of accessible text adventures, several online muds, and even browser based games like Sryth. The best thing I can suggest is that you swing by http://www.audiogames.net and look at the database of accessible games known to exist for blind and low vision gamers. As for the games you are asking about they are Monkey Business and Shades of Doom. Monkey Business is about a number of laboratory monkey's that escape taking various parts of a teleporter with them, and you have to recover them and defeat the evil doctor behind the plot.
