At present Jim's Monopoly game doesn't support this, but it is a feature
that should be easy enough to add. All Jim would have to do create a txt
file with all the chance cards in it, and then have those cards read in
to string variables.
Of course, the cards would have to match the proper
Hi Ron,
In my Monopoly game you do not need to use the arrow keys all of the time. In
most all of the menus you can press the first letter. Such as r for roll dice,
b for buy sell or trade, m for manage properties etc.
Also you can change the sound files in the game.

Hi Phil,
Since it would be networked for online play any new Monopoly game would
have to be written from scratch anyway. Some of the C++ code might be
salvaged for a VC++ project, but I really doubt it.
I do remembr your DOS game, and it was cool for the time. Like you said

Do you mean an on line playable Monopoly game? That would probably not

Hi,
The newer versions of Jim's Monopoly certainly have gotten harder to
beat. I remember in version 4 there were nice little ways you could
cheat the computer, and get him to do deals that screwed him. I of
course informed Jim so he could fix them in 5 which he did of course.

Hi,
The custom boards is perhaps the best feature of Jim's Monopoly.

Hi,
I don't think that would be very hard at all. All you need is something
like a listbox or combobox with the possible functions, and an edit
field to type the text for the card. Then a button for ok, cancil,
clear, etc.
When done it would write out the text file. Not more than a day or two

Hi,
Yeah, I remember that was something I didn't really like either. Every
time the dog moved it barked, when the cannon moved it fired, and I'd

Hi Richard,
Yes, the game would have to have a save game feature for those times

I love English and words in general. Sometimes, though, my e-mails don't
