[Audyssey] Anacreon Tips and a problem

2007-01-05 Thread Zachary Kline
Howdy,
I'm trying to get back into Anacreon reconstruction again--I played the DOS
version way back when, and still have it on my computer here. Can even play
it, with a little effort--(Thank you, Window-eyes!)
However, with the new Windows version, I've noticed a very strange bug on
my laptop, which doesn't seem to manifest on the PC at all.
What happens is that the report screen, which is supposed to pop up at the
beginning of every turn, simply doesn't. It's as if it wasn't there at all,
which it really doesn't seem to be. The News window and the like don't come up
either. This tends to make the game extremely difficult to play well on my
laptop, whereas on my PC I can manage it decently. The funny thing is, that
the DOS version plays well on my laptop but not my PC...
So...I've tried emailing George Moramasato about this, and gotten no response.
I was wondering if anyone either has:
A) A solution for this problem, (somehow).
Or perhaps, B) Tips for playing without the map in the DOS version?
Thanks much in advance, folks.
Yours,
Zack.

Don't feel bad things like that happens. It almost happened to me last

plenty of time to get it renewed before it expired.
I'm a bit surprised though that your domain registrar didn't give you a

Hello everyone. My son Tristian spent Christmas and New Year's with us

He has now beat Troopanum 2.0 and has done so more than 5 times. It's

Re: [Audyssey] anyone played tnation states?

2007-01-05 Thread Richard
I did nationstates for a while. It gets really boring to me, so I just quit
with my membership and nation. In my personal opinion, nationstates is a
waste of time, but this is just my opinion on it. Maybe some of you like it
I don't know, but there was not enough action for me. You just sit back and
resolve problems that they give you. You cannot declare war or anything on
anyone so you just rely on them to let your nation grow. Anyways, this is
Bean's 1 1/2 cents worth.

Helo. iceos will open the rar file just fine. I use it to open rar files.
 http://www.iceows.com/HomePageUS.html

 Hi Thomas,
I'd be interested in testing your game, but you packed it using
winrar's proprietary rar format. I don't have winrar, only winzip,
 and I don't
want to download and install winrar just for your game. Could you
please rezip your game using zip, gz, tar, or some other
 non-proprietary format?
I am suspecting not allot of others on this list have winrar either,
 and
in any case it is always good to use a more common format rather than
sticking with a proprietary format like rar that can only be unpacked
 by one program.
 Hth.

[Audyssey] New game recordings

2007-01-05 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi. I have been rather in a gaming mood earlier tonight and have made
two recordings of two different games. Both new recordings as well as
all other recordings so far can be found at http://games.asmodean.net
under the game audio section. The two newest games are dated January 5
so you can just do a search for those if you want. The first one is me
playing Troopanum 2.0 Easy Walk in Space. The second is me playing ESP
PBX Old Man Stanley's table.

The site again is http://games.asmodean.net. Just go to the game audio
section.
